Newsham Park under Threat say Liberal Councillors

Writings to hundreds of Newsham Park and Elm Park residents, the 3 Liberal Party Councillors have pointed out some major concerns over the proposed Academy including.

1) How can only 18 car park places cater for a secondry school with over 900 pupils and staff ?

2) Is it appropriate that a 4 storey building with modern materials is imposed upon the Newsham Park conservation area?

3) Gardeners Drive was closed to prevent Newsham Park being a race tracks it wise to reopen the Park to through traffic?

All residents are urged to raise their concerns as  art of the planning process. At the last area Committee Liberal Party Councillors demanded more time be given for local people to consider the plans in detail rather than there be a rushed decision
