Liberal Party backs Merseyside Tram Project

In a letter published in the Daily Post 18th Feb, the Tuebrook Liberal Party councillors are urging the city council to work with the Transport Authorities to ensure that the tram line envisaged to run from Kirby to the city centre goes ahead.

It will run through , or by, areas of deprevation such as Croxteth,Norris Green ,Clubmoor, Tuebrook and North everton. In their letter in the Daily Post the Liberal Party councillors describe the project as vital to connecting local people to job opportunities

The letter was also sent to the Echo who over the years have not given us a similar level of coverage

The Liberal Party are also highlighting the benefit of the third route, planned from city centre to Airport ,as invaluable to generate growth at the airport and therefore across the city as a whole
