Activities at Anfield Sports Community Centre

As you will know we have been working to support the Tuebrook Community Centre - The Hope Centre.
However this is not the only community centre we are actively supporting. Can I give you a brief outline of some of the work being done at the Anfield Sports and Community centre, this year we have lobbied and secured hundreds of thousands of pounds to expand the centre and improve security in the vicinity:
 
 
Some of the activities -   recreational  and fitness centred are as follows - all Free of Charge

LFC after school coaching sessions age range 5 - 12 years  
   
Kickz sessions Monday Wednesday Friday - age groups 10 - 19years

Positive Futures - Tuesday Wednesday thursday Friday - dance - sports - boxing.- 8 - 16years.

Clubs and classes list available from reception.
 
Liverpool Community College  offers a Drop in Study Centre (DISC)  service - courses in English Maths, Computers, Book-Keeping and Sage take place Monday to Friday. Linda Benson is the contact person on 260- 6806 In the New Year additional courses around Publicity for organisations and Fitness and Relaxation are looking to be introduced.
 
Weightwatchers  in the New Year who will be starting their weekly session starting on Tuesday 8th January at 6-30pm a good way to Kickstart your weight loss programme.
 
 Blackkburne House are offering free training opportunities to Women who are  north Liverpool residents, a Taster session will be held at ASCC on Monday 14th January  9-30 to 12-30pm the theme of the event will be around Healthy Living, Healthy Life, after which there will follow a six week programme.
 
ABCC project Positively inspired Parents(PIP's) offers three sessions each week of Stay and Play -Monday Wednesday and Friday 1-00 until 3-00pm. for toddlers 2 - 4 years free of charge. contact Alison Rourke on 260 -0022 for registration details.
 
Music classes on a Wednesday for young people provided through ABCC 6-30  -  7-30pm
 
Alongside all of the above there are martial arts classes, dance drama, and additional coaching sessions via Coaching 2000.

We are making every effort to support community activities across the whole Anfield and Tuebrook Area. If there is an activity you feel could be done at ASCC or the Hope Centre, why not drop into our Tuesday Weekly Advice Centres, 6.00 - 6.60 at All Saints School Townsend Lane and later from 7 on Tuesdays at the Art Cafe, West Derby Road
 
Lastly you are all invited to Tuebrook City Safe meeting for policing and community safety issues on Sunday 20th January from 2 at the Hope Centre, rear of St John's Church, may we wish you a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year
