Warning on deadline for park facelift funding bid

Cllr Radford said: “We were told at the time of the meeting we would be disadvantaged because of the Olympics.

“Now we find out the council still has not entered the bid.”

But executive member for the environment Cllr Berni Turner said the bid was being finalised.

She said: “The bid will definitely be in on time. We have to make sure we get it absolutely right.”
