Speakers Corner Debate case against EU Constitution from Cllr Steve Radford

On saturday 11th October Cllr Steve Radford joined the Debatewise team to oppose the case for the EU Constitution.

Steve pointed out that the Lisbon Treaty gave the EU unelected commissioners even more powers than the previous draft constitution rejected by French and Dutch voters.

He praised the honesty and courage of MP's like Frank Field who had stuck by their elction pledge to give the Britsh People a vote on this fundamental and detrimental shift of power from the UK Parliament to an unelected EU

Debatewise is an organisation which encourages flushing out topical debates with two sides of any issue being given equal debate time.

Theyt run a blogsite for various current, religious and commercial debates

Following the debate on the EU our friend Guy Herbert put the case against ID Cards to the public gathered around Speakers Corner
