Liberals secure protection for local councillors in Land Sales

At the city council meeting on October 15th Cllr Steve Radford led the challenge to new rules on delegated powers to allow ward councillors to scrutinise the sale of leases or freehold where officers recommendations were not seen as in the best value of community.

To his credit Cllr Warren Bradley conceded the need for this safeguard whilst at the same time speeding up sales which were not contested
