Liberals condemn Government targets for demolition of homes

At the city council 15th October the Liberal Party Group opposed the corporate  plan ,particulary attacking the governemt objective whereby councils are measured on an combined equal value basis ,the improvemnt and reletting of vacant homes and the demolition of vacants.

Cll Steve Radford hit out than to treat the demolition of houses as of equal merit as the renovation of vacant omes was immoral and took no account of the long term environmental and social impact. The Green Party voted with us, whilst Lib Dems and Labour agreed the plan
