Community Skips
 
As ward councillors we can only order 4 community skips in any two month period
 
They are a faculty over and above normal council services, most districts do not have this provision
 
We are appalled every time we order then we are loaded with quite petty comments
 
We can not and do not supervise the exact drop off location that has to be left with the driver
 
We will not leave skips overnight to become missiles launching pads for vandals
 
Skips are not provided for individual houses
 
We are not able to order replacement skips that day if and when they are full
 
If we get continued complaints about the skip programme from any streets in future we will simply take that sreet off our request rota
 
The following locations skips will be delivered to
 
Wednesday 19th Nov Corner of Silverdale Avenue and West Dery Road lay by
 
Wednesday 19th Nov  Junction Northgate Road and Plemont Road
 
Wednesday 19th Nov  Stoneycoft Crescent
 
Thursday 20th Nov Hilberry Avenue at Siutton Street end
 
Sorry to be harsh but the amount of silly calls we deal with over the skip facility is becoming needlessly time consuming and totally unrealist
 Last month we had skips delivered in Woburn Hill, Tynwald Hill and Snaefell Avenue. Over the year  we hope to roll then right across the ward
