This may also be same day for General Election To be able to vote you need to be on the electoral roll.
The Council updates its list every year, but you can register at any time. Currently registration forms are going out, it is vital you confirm all adults in the house on the list plus any 16 / 17 year olds who may be able to vote soon

You can also register to vote by post. You don't need a special reason any more but you do need to fill in a form.
Every year hundreds of local people lose the opportunity to vote because of working hours, illness or holidays.
Postal Voting means you get your ballot paper about ten days before voting. Indicate you want a postal vote on your registration form its as easy as that.
